Presently, YBhg Tan Sri Dr. Zeti Akhtar Aziz is the Group Chairman of Permodalan Nasional Berhad. YBhg Tan Sri has also been appointed as a member in the Council of Eminent Persons recently. Previously, YBhg Tan Sri was the 7th Governor of Bank Negara Malaysia ("BNM") from 2000 to 2016 and led the Central Bank team to successfully implement the selective exchange controls to restore stability and promote economic recovery in Malaysia. Prior to that, YBhg Tan Sri was appointed as Acting Governor of BNM in 1998. YBhg Tan Sri began her career as an economic analyst for the South-East Asia Central Bank Training & Research Center, and she was then appointed as the Deputy Manager of the Economics Department at BNM. |
