We refer to our announcement dated 8 May 2023 on the above matter. 

Sime Darby Property Berhad ("Sime Darby Property") wishes to announce that on the petition presented by The Glengowrie Rubber Company Sdn Berhad (“GRC”), a 78.72% owned subsidiary, the High Court of Malaya at Shah Alam had, on 26 January 2024, ordered GRC to be wound-up. 

The High Court of Malaya at Shah Alam made the following Orders: 

a)         That GRC be wound-up by the Court under the provisions of the Companies Act 2016.

b)         That Lim Keng Peo and Khoo Siew Kiat c/o Deloitte Restructuring Services PLT be appointed as the joint and/or several liquidators of GRC.

c)         That the cost of and incidental to the winding-up petition be paid-out of the assets of GRC.

The winding-up of GRC will not have any significant operational or financial impact to the Sime Darby Property Group for the financial year ending 31 December 2024.
